Has your PC encountered a printing problem recently as you try to print your documents to certain types of printers such as Kyocera, Ricoh, and Zebra? After pressing “Print”, does a blue screen of death appear?

Step-by-step guide on how to fix the printing issue that causes the blue screen of death to appear?

Rest assured! Microsoft has fixed the printing issue that was caused by the March Windows 10 Update (Windows 10 KB5000802). The issue now can be solved with an optional update. However, you have to search for the optional update manually through Windows 10 Settings app.


Follow this step-by-step guide below to fix your PC printing issue:


1. Go to Windows 10 Settings app.

Shortcut Tips: Open settings menu by pressing Windows Key + I


2. Select “Update & Security” option under the Settings menu.

3. Select “Windows Update”

4. Click “View optional updates”

5. Select the optional update that addresses this fix.

The optional update is currently available for Windows 10 versions 1803, 1809, 1909, 2004, 20H2, and 21H1.

6. Click Download and Install

After you have clicked the “Download and Install” option, go back to the Windows Update page and you will see that the Status is changing. Wait until: Downloading -100% and Installing - 100

7. Restart your computer

If installing optional update mentioned above still does not fix the problem, you may try another method by totally uninstalling the particular update that causes the error:


1. Follow Step 1 to Step 3 stated above.


2. Instead of clicking “View optional updates”, this time you should click the “View update history”.

3. Click Uninstall updates

4. Under Uninstall an update list, look for “Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5000802)” if your PC is running Windows 10 version 20H2, 2004 and 21H1.

If your PC is Windows 10 version 1909, select to uninstall update KB5000808.

If your PC is Windows 10 version 1809, select to uninstall update KB5000822.

If your PC is Windows 10 version 1803, select to uninstall update KB5000809.


5. Click the “Uninstall” button or you can select the intended update then right click on your mouse and choose “Uninstall” option.

6. Click Yes to uninstall the intended update


7. Click the Restart now button.
